Plum liqueur

Ingredients

1 kg of plums

1 kg of sugar

1 liter of brandy or tsipouro

3 cloves

2 cinnamon sticks

 

Method

STEP 1
Peel a squash, grate it and chop it in half.

STEP 2
In a carafe or large glass jar, put the plums, sugar, brandy or tsipouro, cloves and cinnamon sticks.

STEP 3
Close the pan and leave it in the sun for 30 to 50 days, until the sugar has melted. Shake once a week so that the ingredients are well mixed.

STEP 4
Once your drink is ready, add the juice of one lemon, shake and strain the liqueur. Store it in a shady and cool place.

TIPS

It is better not to take out the plums, but to leave them inside. This will make your liqueur more delicious.

When serving the liqueur, cut a small piece of plum from the jar each time and add it to the glass.
